Jade Mountain Culinary Festival Kicks Off

St. Lucia

A year of culinary events at Jade Mountain launched last month with 'Cooking in Paradise', a celebration of the virtues of locally grown Caribbean cuisine. This is followed by 'Mango Madness' from 20 - 24 June, where activities include a mango chutney workshop, mango cocktail party and tastings.

In October, the world's favourite aphrodisiac, chocolate, will be celebrated with 'Discover Chocolate Festival' taking place from the 10 - 14 October. Cacao has a history in St. Lucia that dates back to the 1700's and the resort has its own groves of Cacao trees, numbering over 1,000, in both Anse Mamin Plantation and in Emerald Estate.

The year of culinary events will conclude with 'Spices of the Caribbean' from 12 - 16 December, which will explore flavours of the world characterised by the use of specific herbs and spices.
