Bahia, Cayman Islands
Davenport Development, industry leaders in the design and construction of luxurious yet affordable homes in Cayman, will be breaking ground on their latest development in mid-2020.

The company behind gated communities such as San Sebastian, Vela and Arvia, has embarked on another highly desirable South Sound residential project: Bahia. Like its forerunners, Bahia will blend contemporary, European-style aesthetics with hurricane-rated construction, and will feature a swoon-worthy list of shared amenities, along with high spec fixtures and finishes in every home.
Everyday life will take on a holiday hue for residents of this community, where shared amenities rival those of any luxury resort. The star feature is the Olympic-length lap pool and its counterpart, a 200-foot free-form resort pool and hot tub, which together ensure serious swimmers and fun-in-the-sun seekers all have space for their particular leisure pursuits.
Fitness fans will also have at their disposal a floodlit tennis court, an indoor gym, a yoga studio and an outdoor workout area, whilst for those who prefer to spend time at home socialising, there will be a clubhouse, poolside cabanas and a children’s play park.
Strata fees include a wellness programme: owners and tenants will be able to join any of the five complimentary yoga and fitness classes each week, held on-site.
For busy professionals and non-resident owners, the on-site property manager is there when you can’t be, whether it is to receive deliveries or take care of light maintenance.
Serving everyone from first time buyers in search of a starter home to larger families and retirees looking for a well-managed vacation residence, units at Bahia will include one, two and three-bedroom options, with the possibility of creating a fourth bedroom in the largest properties.
As has become customary with Davenport’s developments, Bahia homes will all be finished with sleek cabinetry, porcelain floor tiles and natural stone countertops. Bathrooms will be fitted with Delta and Kohler fixtures and kitchens will be fully equipped with quality energy-efficient appliances. All homes will be smart wired and fibre ready.
Bahia residences are built with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), which are both extremely strong and very insulating, thus offering both hurricane protection and savings on cooling costs. The insulated impact-resistant windows add to this, and each home will be equipped with an efficient HVAC system controlled with a Nest thermostat.
