Antigua is 280 sq km and is situated in the middle of the Leeward Islands at 17 03 N, 61 48 W. Antigua and its neighbouring Barbuda are the largest English speaking islands in the chain, and are also the sunniest. Expensive winding coastline surrounds Antigua and its highest point is Boggy Peak at 1319 ft. Antigua's population is 68,000 and the capital for both islands is St. John. Sweet potatoes, yams, maize and guinea corn are grown for locals, while their biggest exports are sugar and pineapple. The economy is also very reliant on tourism, claiming to be a luxury Caribbean port. East Caribbean Dollars are used here, as well as US dollars.
