R.A. Shaw Designs Invited to Participate in International Property Awards
Caribbean architect R.A. Shaw was invited to participate in the prestigious 2010 International Property Awards hosted by Bloomberg Television this spring in New York City.
Now in their 16th year, the awards have entrants compete on a national level with winners progressing to a regional competition and thereafter judged against counterparts at regional levels from Arabia, Europe, the wider Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific.
After much consideration, R.A. Shaw chose to submit, Emerald Cay, a 30,000 square foot residence that is located on a private island in the Turks and Caicos Islands and took seven years to complete. The one-of-a-kind architectural masterpiece required Principal Ron Shaw to reside on-site for three of those years in order to work out finishing details. This dedication resulted in an outstanding home of architectural form and function.
