Hartling Has New Approach to Resort Groundbreaking
Turks and Caicos
Veteran Turks & Caicos resort developer, Stan Hartling, nixed the traditional VIP fanfare at his recent $100 million Shore Club groundbreaking celebration. Replacing the typical mix of business leaders and champagne were high school graduating students and fruit punch.
Over 250 students from Turks and Caicos Islands' high schools joined government dignitaries at the celebration on Long Bay Beach, where a group of selected students sang the national anthem, the national song and were among the first to put symbolic construction shovels in the ground.
A career expo at The Regent Palms, another Hartling Group resort, followed the groundbreaking celebration and guests were served lunch by students from the Turks and Caicos Community College.
