With the Caribbean Sea gently lapping at the deck, live harp music filling the air and the sun slowly sinking out of sight, there can be few more romantic spots than the Wharf’s waterfront location. The superb setting and timeless style of one of Cayman’s most well-established fine dining restaurants are matched only by their culinary creations: fresh lobster, top-quality Angus beef, and basil and pistachio encrusted seabass, are just some of options that show off the chefs’ winning combination of international flavours and local ingredients.
Award-winning chef Sean Collins, already well known for his upscale catering at Mise en Place, now brings his love of classic French cuisine to the heart of Seven Mile Beach. Simple, authentic bistro-style dishes, ranging from steak tartare to caramelised apple tart, are perfectly complemented by a careful selection of predominantly French wines and champagnes. Friendly service and modern vintage décor creates a convivial atmosphere that invites diners to linger for longer, whether seated indoors, or under the stars on the patio.
One of the few venues where one can eat with ringside views of the setting sun, the Marriott’s freshly renovated beachfront restaurant, Veranda, brings vintage-inspired boho-chic to the seaside. The re-invented restaurant sits directly on the Seven Mile Beach with ample seating on the breeze-cooled terrace. The upgraded menu focuses on fresh fish, simply prepared, including seafood classics such as bouillabaisse and fish and chips, with a Caribbean twist, plus the enduringly popular and extravagantly indulgent Lobster Fete.
One of Grand Cayman’s most exciting new restaurants, Catch offers a superlative waterfront location, impeccable service and, as the name implies, the freshest catch of the day. Created by the dynamic duo behind the highly acclaimed Agua, exquisitely prepared, fresh local seafood is the star of the show, with a supporting cast of decadent meat dishes and signature cocktails. Located in the home of the former Morgan’s Harbour, the views remain unchanged whilst an extensive remodel brings casual elegance and contemporary flair to the well-loved location.
